Adam grew up in my neighbourhood and met Lauren through a mutual friend (they were both working at the Carine Glades bakery). It was so great to meet up with them and not long before their wedding they moved back into Duncraig. My staffy, Stella, took a particular liking to Adam, so I knew he was a pretty decent guy from the get go…
Lauren and Adam married in November 2017 at one of my favourite ‘all in one’ ceremony and reception locations, Matilda Bay Restaurant. With the river and the city in the background, Lauren walked up the aisle with her father to Marry Me by Train. We opened the ceremony with a lovely reading, chosen by the bride and groom:
A marriage is a promise that two hearts gladly make
A promise to be tender, to help, to give and take
A marriage is a promise to be kind and understanding
A marriage is a promise to share one life together
A love-filled promise meant to be kept, lovingly forever.
Lauren’s stunning wedding gown was from Hobnob Bridal, the beautiful bridesmaids’s dresses were from Dessy, florals by Twillery Floral Studio, hair and makeup by HAM Creative, stationery by Felicitations.
