A groovy kinda love

Photos: I just adored the cute combi vans as bridal cars for the boys and the girls; the ceremony overlooking the Swan River; Kate's four bridesmaids were dressed in bright terracotta red and carried yellow sunflowers; Kate and Tim sign the all important paperwork surrounded by their bridal party.
Don't you just love a family wedding?
It was my absolute pleasure to be able to marry my cousin-in-law Kate and Tim in a Saturday afternoon ceremony in Mosman Park. How lovely it was to see familiar faces in the crowd (including my own husband and children) and to share in such a special day Kate and Tim will always remember.
Tim and his four groomsmen arrived to the ceremony location in a combi van. What a great alternative to the usual limo! They were relaxed and looked great in their shirts and ties (no jackets for this wedding with a nice casual dress code). Kate and her parents and bridesmaids arrived in a second combi and as the bride's mother was escorted to her seat, the bridal party was assembled. Kate's father walked her up the aisle and nephew Lewis held the rings in one hand and his mother's hand in the other. Tim and Kate's friend Buzz played the guitar - it's just fabulous when talented friends can help out!
Kate and Tim took the time to reflect on their relationship and their love for each other and wrote their own vows. They exchanged rings and were pronounced as husband and wife to the cheers of their friends and family.
A cocktail reception was held at The Naked Fig in Swanbourne. In keeping with their travels together to Mexico and South America, Mojitos were served to guests and we were encouraged to take photos of ourselves in Mexican moustaches, sombreros and dressups!
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Tim and Kate Newton!
