An Australia Day celebration

Debbie and Steve with marriage celebrant Ann Lord, hydrangeas and white roses make for a magnificent floral display and bridesmaid Kaelen and groomsman Jayden. .
Every couple I meet has a story to tell and it's a privilege to write a wedding ceremony that reflects their journey together. Debra and Steven's story is the stuff of romance novels.....
Debbie and Steve first met when she was just 19. They had a son together but their lives went in different directions. Some years later they met up again and after a time, their friendship turned once again to romance. It was a very long engagement and what a wonderful moment when Jayden, now 21, walked his mother up the aisle to stand hand in hand with his father - to be married after all these years. The ceremony was very much a family affair with Steve's beautiful daughter Kaelen in the role of bridesmaid in a stunning pale blue dress.
Dark clouds loomed and a few big spots of rain teased us all as the mercury hit 41 degrees just before 4.30pm. Debbie looked absolutely radiant in her bridal gown, with a beautiful lace overlay and train. She carried a bouquet of white roses and pale blue hydrangeas which matched Steve and Jayden's blue shirts and Kaelan's long off the shoulder gown.
The ceremony and reception were both held at the home of Janine and Michael, friends of the bride and groom. They had thought of everything and were terrific wedding planners and hosts.
What a wonderful Australia Day - a day to remember for Debbie, Steve and their family and friends. It was a wonderful celebration and I wish you every blessing for a happy life together.
